Assess Your Digital Risk
Digital Risk Assessment
Understanding your digital risk exposure is the first step toward protecting your business. Use this framework to assess where your greatest vulnerabilities lie.
Step 1: Inventory Your Digital Assets
List every revenue-generating or customer-facing digital property:
- Your main website and any microsites
- E-commerce platforms or booking systems
- Social media accounts tied to your brand
- Email marketing lists and CRM data
- Any AI tools or automations you depend on
Step 2: Identify Your Risk Exposure
For each asset, answer these questions:
- What happens to revenue if this goes down for 24 hours?
- What customer data is stored here, and is it protected?
- Who controls access, and how many people have admin credentials?
- When was the last security audit or backup test?
Step 3: Prioritize by Business Impact
Rank each asset by how much revenue or reputation damage a breach or outage would cause. Focus your protection budget on the highest-impact assets first.
Step 4: Close the Gaps
